ENDS TERM BEGINS PHASE AND FURTHER READING CENTRAL

Yesterday the deadline to register for the Olympics, but let's extend it a few days. It is important that those who think you have to participate, enjoin your intention before the Christmas holidays.
Currently 26 schools have registered, which is a good number for the I Olympiad. We have no record of them all, so it is important that people complete the information: name of the person responsible, a center that is discharged in the Olympics and email. Besides we all have to be on the mailing list to facilitate communication between us. The final list will post when we have all the data.
As you know, we are now in critical phase: one where you organize, as you deem most appropriate, the internal competition in your center to elect two persons to be submitted to the final. The least burdensome to do this is to pose as the theme of the course the topic of the Olympics and spending time usually devote to a topic of your programming. You can use the materials we have provided or other similar authors. In the end, as screening test, can pose a lecture and then to correct them all, select the two best. That you ask them then switch to a Word document or similar, and that's what entregáis as evidence selected for the Olympics. The final deadline extended, is 25 February.
As you see does not involve many problems. Do not forget what the correct criteria are going to manage, which are collected in the appropriate tab on our blog. Of course you can open the contest to all high school students in your heart, not just those in your groups. Simply copy them the brochure that is included in the documents
to spread the call.
Thank you all for your participation. We hope that the Olympics is a success and, above all, we hope to help the students still interested in a little more for philosophical reflection.
any questions, you write to the mailing list: olimpiadafilosofica-l@uam.es

How Long Does Radiculopathy Last?

Periodistas repudian el negacionismo de La Nueva Provincia sobre los crímenes de Massera

the undersigned, journalists and teachers of Communication Sciences across the country, we express our condemnation of the text denier published on November 9 last by the newspaper La Nueva Provincia, Bahia Blanca, which seeks to distort the role historic former chief Emilio Massera and repressors of the dictatorship as a whole.
harm the morals of society and insult the victims of the killing machine he co-directed the deceased Massera, the glorification of his figure and the historical misrepresentation of facts already elucidated in all possible instances of Justice, which reached accurate conclusions thanks for the dignity and courage of thousands of Argentines, and the commitment to "never again" for the vast majority of society.
If this denial stems from a newspaper with general aspiration and strong influence in the area where it spreads, the damage to truth and memory becomes more serious. Worse is the lie, when two workers of La Nueva Provincia graphics are among the fatal victims of the illegal repression by marine led by Massera, who then, between 1976 and 1983, received praise in the pages of the media.
We express no on the debate among lawyers about whether state terrorism negacionsimo deserves judicial sanction, such as, for example, in Germany and other countries. Yes we are under obligation as journalists, publishers react to texts such as the aforementioned, while business chambers urge the press to review the membership of media that show no commitment to democratic values \u200b\u200band are dedicated also to distort history.
Finally, we express solidarity with media workers of La Nueva Provincia repudiating the editorial position of the medium in which they work.

New National Holiday: November 20 NATIONAL DAY OF SOVEREIGNTY

On 20 November 1845, at the Battle of Vuelta a thousand Argentines forced to deep patriotism challenged the world's most powerful army in a historical epic that definitely helped to consolidate our national sovereignty.

was at the request of the historian José María Rosa and by Law No. 20,770 that our country has been established on 20 November as National Sovereignty Day in commemoration of the Battle of Vuelta de Obligado.

On 20 November 1845, a political context complex internal and deep divisions fostered a new attempt of two European powers (France and England) to colonize parts of our country. Governor Rosas, San Martín supported him from exile and throughout the country there was a desire to remain a free nation and not a foreign colony, even at the cost of enormous sacrifice that would mean. The purpose of the invaders was to enter the Parana, to which the Argentine government has anticipated preparing the resistance led by Lucio Mansilla in a place near San Pedro: Vuelta de Obligado. The enemy forces far exceeded in number and in modern weaponry, to Argentines, who after 7 hours of fighting were displaced. Although he could cross over into the Paraná, the enemy could not take the costs (of vital strategic necessity), so his victory was not complete. Instead, he reinvigorated the national spirit and since everyone posts favored the defense of our sovereignty, which eventually was reinforced. The remarkable spirit of resistance shown in the Vuelta de Obligado finished confirm our status as free and independent nation, since even those who did not sympathize with Rosas came to realize that being conquered by foreign forces was not a departure, and that people do not going to let this happen.

2010. San Pedro: Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner led the commemoration of the Battle of Vuelta de Obligado at the scene of any war, which became a milestone in the defense of Argentina and is remembered with the Day National Sovereignty. Claimed as a public holiday today
